LAPORTE, MICHAEL THOMAS
On Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Kingston General Hospital Michael Laporte peacefully entered into rest at the age of 54 Years. Michael Laporte was the beloved son of Douglas and Nancy Laporte. He is survived by his beloved brother of Rick Laporte (Lori) and much loved nephew Daniel Laporte (Joan) and his great nephew Connor. Mike is also survived by several Aunts and Uncles, Liz Sargent (Dave), Gerard and Lorraine Laporte, Albert and Rita Laporte. He will be missed by his cousins Bonnie Major, Heather Dixon, Lenny Galbraith, Tammy Largy, Kevin Laporte, Kristen Laporte, Paul Laporte, Susan Moore, Anne Gilmour and his Lifelong friends of Joey Hunter and Ray Marshall. Predeceased by his brother Douglas Laporte Jr "Butchie", Grandparents Douglas and Lena Laporte, Hazel and Frederick Galbraith aunts and uncles Dick Galbraith, Bob and Brenda Morris, Stella Laporte and his cousin Sherry Morris-Wyatt "SheShe".

Mike worked in the pool business for years and was well respected for the quality of work he did and he was a talented cabinet maker. His work would fit in nicely in any upscale furniture shop. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved deer hunting every fall. Mostly, though, he was a loyal friend and will be remembered by many
people.

Mike was a great friend and was always willing to help when you needed him. We shared lots of laughs together in school. I will miss our visits in his workshop above the garage. He will be missed. Rest in peace Mike.

Mike was my uncle first and foremost but he was also my best friend. I don't think I'd be the person I am now without him in my life. He was always there to listen when I needed someone to talk to. I have far too many good memories of him to write in one post.
I'm gonna miss you, Mike. See you on the other side.
