MACKAY Funeral Home is located in a historic building that was erected in 1845 and is known locally as "The Peck House" at 416 Dibble St West. It has been renovated over the years, but still retains the original character of a bygone era.
Our funeral home is wheelchair accessible and our chapel seats 100 with additional seating available, if required. The chapel has an organ and a full service sound system. Services can be recorded in sound or video.
MACKAY Funeral Home is a member of the Ontario Funeral Service Association and Canadian Independent Group of Funeral Homes. We are also associated with After Loss (a learning how to cope with grief program).
We provide services that range from the traditional religious funeral service, a celebration of life service, a memorial service, etc. with earth burial or cremation. A selection of caskets and urns is maintained at all times. (A price list is available upon request)
Our staff can arrange and co-ordinate all aspects of the service locally or with out of town funeral homes, arrange for flowers, hairstylist (on staff), clergy, newspaper & radio notices, cemetery/crematory, music (organist, piper, soloist etc.), post funeral reception, stone lettering, provide the necessary documentation and complete the papers to notify the proper government agencies of the death.
