Our Nan is a woman we will always think of as being like a second mother to us; our Grandmother - our Nan. She was there to watch us grow, wipe our tears, guide us with our decisions, and love us no matter what.
Never shy to say how it was, or give you her opinion; whether you agreed or not one thing was certain you would never walk away from our Nan wondering what she thought.
Dear Nan,
My heart broke into pieces when you decided it was time to go. My selfishness wants you to stay with me forever, but I know that you are once again with the love of your life - "my Jack" you would say.
As you get older you treasure the simpler things in life. I will forever treasure the stories you loved to share about my Mum and Uncles as children, the years my boys were able to make memories with their Grandma, and the special moments I was able to share with you. I will love you forever.

Dear Nan,
I still don't believe that I will never get to hug you again, have a cup of tea with you, or just pop in for a visit and ask you for your advice. I am also selfish as I did not want you to leave me, but the last thing you told me was you wanted "your Jack". I know that you are together again watching over all of us.
Thank you for all that you did for me, you were my rock, my strength and my wisdom in my saddest times. Thank you for always telling me the truth no matter how much I didn't like it, and thank you for never giving up on me.
I am fortunate to have so many wonderful memories with you Nan; you taught me so much. I will love you always and forever.
Your Granddaughter Liz
