Obituary for Walter Augustinus Picavet

Picavet, Walter Augustinus
It is with a heavy and sad heart to announce that my love, friend and Husband of 30 years has succumbed to his illness of Friday, August 24, 2023 at the age of 78. Walter Picavet beloved husband of Joanne Picavet. Dear father of Kelly Ciavarella and Sean Picavet (Betty). Cherised grandfather of Vanessa and Connor Ciavarella, Kieran Picavet (Jessica) and Kristen Picavet. Brother of Fred Picavet (Deborah Wootton), Ron Picavet (Joanne) and Marie Wilkins. He was predeceased by his brother Rudy Picavet, and is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Through Trinity Bible Church he was committed and driven to bring sleeping bags to the homeless. Having his younger brother with mental illness, he wanted to make sure that those who were in need were helped. His (my step-children) would know their Dad to love plain chips in that black plastic bowl with a rye and ginger. He also just loved his cigar and scotch, sitting on the edge of the dock in his Tilley hat, life was good. Walter was known as a hard worker, a shelf guy, a sense of urgency that no one could ever match, but also for his kindness and caring for others. He was the love of my life, and I was his. He is my first and last forever love, I miss you honey, and we will be together again one day in God’s grace and loving arms. Rest and enjoy your time in heaven. .
