Obituary for Norman Fortier
FORTIER, NORMAN
After a full and well-lived life Norman passed away peacefully at Wellington House LTC, Prescott on Friday, November 18, 2022. Norman Fortier, life-long resident of Prescott in his 94th year. Only son of Charles Fortier and Margaret L. Smithers. Dearly loved husband of 75 years (December) to Joan Hildred Fortier (nee Young). Dear father of Diana Hodge (George), David (Ann Gordon), Margaret Van Camp (Bryne), Peter (Joan Throop) and Norma Sabourin (Jim). Fondly remembered by his 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren as well as a host of several nieces and nephews. Also survived by his only sister Beverly Thomson. Respected family friend to Rick and Esther Fleming and family.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Church, 160 Dibble Street West, Prescott, Ontario. Reception to follow at the Prescott Golf Club, 900 Boundary Street, Prescott. Interment will take place in the Spring. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Food For All Food Bank (cheques to P.O.
