On Monday, May 4th, 2020 at the Queensway Carleton Hospital Ottawa, after a courageous battle with dementia, Jean peacefully entered into rest at the age of 80 years. Jean King beloved wife of the late John King, dear daughter of the late Charles Henry and Rita May Dietschweiler is survived by her sister Betty McReynolds and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her brothers Bob and Donnie Dietschweiler and by numerous brothers and sisters in-law.

A special Thank you to the staff of Barrhaven Manor, Carefor and the Queensway Carleton Hospital for their tremendous care.
As a result of the current environment, a Private Family Graveside Service with interment will be held in Blue Church Cemetery 1512 County Road 2 West. A Celebration of Jean's Life will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer's Society or South Grenville Food Bank, would be greatly acknowledged.

Jeanie and I go back to grade 8 in a one room school in Wexford, she was my bridesmaid, my best friend, godparent to my son, came to see us every posting as we were in the RCAF, she had the greatest laugh and so much love to share with family and friends, she will be greatly missed, left me with wonderful memories!

My condolences to the family. Jean and John used to come in every morning for their gazette when they lived on Dibble street. Such a sweet couple.

Jean came to work at the law firm where I was a young lawyer in the early '70. She became the first corporate paralegal in the firm and we worked closely together for over 20 years. She was smart, thorough and a hard worker. Everyone appreciated her including the clients.
Although I have not seen Jean since she moved back to Ontario, I will always remember her with great fondness.

I lived on Windmill Point Road , east of Wexford when growing up attending school. I spent many hours enjoying riding our horses, toboganing, swimming in the quarry, playing at the elevator and much other fun stuff. My deepest sympathy to families of Betty, Bobbie, Donnie and Jeannie. Our deepest sympathy to the King families. We still see "Leroy" often.
Our deepest sympathy to all.
