Obituary for Louis Joseph Boisvenue

Louis Joesph Boisvenue July 4, 1949- August 31, 2023

Louis passed away at his home on Tight Wad Alley in Spencerville with his family by his side, on the morn of a blue moon. Even through Louis’ cancer diagnosis he lived every day to the fullest and with a smile, barely missing a day in his garage during his 8-month illness.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Solange (Couture). Loving and proud Dad to Jeanette MacNaughtan (Michael) and predeceased by his cherished son Jeffrey (Suzanne Tousant). The proudest Pops to Megan, Jason and Sarah and Great Poppy to Bentley. He will be greatly missed by his siblings; Conrad (Dawn), Carole Sullivan (Randy), Jaqueline Barnard (William), Marcel, Suzanne Aleinik (Lonnie) and his in laws; Ghislaine and Carsten Klitbo, Pierrette and Stanley Broniszeski, Germain and Julia Couture and Robert and Nicole Arnott. He is predeceased by his parents, Laura and Rheal Boisvenue, Maurice and Jeannine Couture, and sister in laws Cathy Couture, Cindy Boisvenue and Suzanne Couture. He was a favourite uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Louis was born in Moose Creek Ontario and moved to Spencerville as a young boy. He was a devoted, loyal, and honest businessman for 40 years and even after retirement and into his final days, he could still be found under the hood of a car. Like a Blue Moon, Louis was rare, and we will never understand the magnitude and the impact he had on the many lives he touched. He made it easy to be his friend. He was a doer and a giver and generous with his time and his love.
A Celebration of Louis’ life will be held at the Drummond Building, 22 Ryan St, Spencerville on Wednesday September 6, 2023. Visitation 1:00-3:00 and a service and reception to follow. A private interment will be held at a later date.
Louis and his family were very grateful for the care he received through the Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care Program, in lieu of flowers a donation can be made in his honor. https://www.canadahelps.org/charityprofilepage.aspx?charityid=d25076
