Obituary for Grant Eldon Lowry

LOWRY, GRANT (Pete)
Retired Ottawa Police Officer

Peacefully entered into rest on the 24th of October 2020 at the age of 80 in Prescott, Ontario in his home where he wanted to be.
Pete joined the Ottawa Police Force in 1961 retired in 1991 and truly enjoyed his retirement over the years. Loved playing Poker and I know the Akwesasne Casino will surely miss his company. Survived by his children Michael (Janet), Joanne (David ), Gregory and his beautiful grand children Derek, Jordan, Meghan and great grand child Stella, along with nieces, nephews, brother in law Dale Greene and great nieces and nephews will miss you. On behalf of the Lowry Family, we cannot thank Mrs. Jean McCrady enough for the many years of friendship. For all the help you gave us especially the love and support to dad. Jean you are a treasure and we love you. To the Davidson Family, Cst Wayne Davidson (Skip), Marlene and Char your life long friendship really means in our hearts extended family. Thank you so much for the best years.
To all Dads colleagues and ours, thank you so much for the phone calls , emails, texts he would have been proud. To the Staff, Doctors Nurses and Paramedics at the Brockville Hospital thank you for your hard work and compassion. To the OPP Officers that assisted us, a Thank you just doesn’t seem to be enough. Your high regards and respect, professionalism and compassion will never be forgotten by us and in our minds that truly is News worthy. The true story.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be no visitation of public service. With luck we will hold a Celebration of Life to honour Dad next year.
