Obituary for Gordon MacLean Mills

Gordon MacLean Mills, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on February 12, 2024 at the Brockville General Hospital. Gordon was born on June 6, 1937 in Utica, New York and immigrated to Canada in 1959. Gordon was a long-standing full-time employee of DuPont and was employed as a security guard part-time following his retirement. He was an active figure in the community, having served in the American military, and was a Prescott volunteer firefighter for twenty years. He was a member of numerous committees including the Rotary Club, the Police Services Board of Ontario, and the Spencerville Agricultural Society.
Gordon is survived by Barbara, his loving wife of 64 and a half years. He will be dearly missed by their three children: Mary Ellen, Michael (Tammy), and Nancy (Graeme). His memory will be cherished by his grandchildren and great grandchildren: Michelle, Amy (Emmanuel), Jackie (James), Michaela, Preston and Isla. Gordon will be remembered fondly by his sister-in-law's Marian and Elizabeth, and many loyal friends.
Gordon's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff in both the intensive and palliative care units at Brockville General Hospital.

In honour of Gordon's wishes, there will be no formal services. Gord was a man who would give the shirt off his back.
