On Friday March 26, 2021 at the Cornwall Community Hospital, Charles Morris Board entered into rest at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth, who predeceased him 10 months earlier. Dear father of James ( Deborah ) of Hubbards, N.S., Donna ( Thomas ) of Long Sault, Ontario. Cherished Grampa of Daniel ( Kayla ) of Hubbards, NS, Christopher (Margaret) of Timberlea, NS, Danika, Laci and Ariel Reed. Great Grandfather of Brody Board. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Phyllis (French), brother Fred, sister Mary and infant brother, all of Prescott Ontario. Also survived by brother-in-law George Barton, and several nieces and nephews. Born in Brockville Ontario, Charles spent his life in Prescott. At 16, he became a machine operator for Jameco Brass and spent the next forty-six years a proud employee for the company. Charles umpired minor softball for several years and coached minor hockey for a few years. Charles was an avid fisherman and spent many evenings and weekends boating along his second home, The St. Lawrence River and eventually taught his grandsons the art of pike fishing off the east shore of Pier Island and later in life, fishing the northern lakes with his good friend. He and Elizabeth also enjoyed following the local country bands and following their children’s and later grandchildren’s sporting activities.

A graveside service will be held, along with a service for the love of his life Elizabeth, at a later date at Blue Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Share a special message of Charles www.mackayfuneralhomes.ca
