BIRNIE, ANGUS CAMPBELL (GUS)
1939-2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of
Gus, peacefully on April 11,2024 in Brockville, Ontario.
Loving husband of Solange. Devoted father to Scot (Tanya) of Brockville, Stuart (Sue) and Stephen (Sandra) of Prescott, and Spencer (Annie) of Huntingdon Beach, CA. Stepfather to Mark Gallant (Ottawa) and Lisa Gallant (Kemptville). Proud poppy to Mary, Turner, Darby, Max, Parker, Ginger, Payton, and Morgan. Step-poppy to Kelsea and Nathalie Mann.
Gus began his journey in the automobile world at GMAC in the 1960’s, moving to Surgenor Pontiac Buick, then settling his young family in Prescott, Ontario in 1978, where he became the “Little Dealer with the Big Heart” with Riverside Pontiac Buick GMC. He has been an active member of the Canadian Legion since 1978 and achieved 52 years as a Mason of the Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M. of Canada in the Province of Ontario.
Gus generously supported numerous charitable organizations and sporting events in the community. He loved his adopted town, embracing its people with warmth and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on the community.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers at the Brockville General Hospital for their care and compassion.
