It is with sadness we announce that Alanna passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital Garden Street Site on Tuesday July 30, 2019 at the age of 67 years. Alanna Whelan beloved wife of Tom Whelan for 44 years. Dear Mother of Jonathan (Susan), Jarrod (Winnie), Janna (Paul), and Joshua (Kaitlyn). Loving Grandmother of William, Lily, Jacob, Caroline and Tobias. Alanna was the cherished sister of Connie, Shelley, and Arnita and was predeceased by her parents Arnold and Reta Smith. Alanna greatly enjoyed her 35 year teaching career, which included being the grade 6 teacher to her 4 children. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday August 6, 2019 at the MacKay Funeral Home 416 Dibble St., West Prescott from 1-3 & 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church 160 Dibble St. West Prescott on Wednesday August 7th at 11 AM.
