On Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at the Brockville General Hospital Charles Street Site Gerry Van Rijt Peacefully entered into rest at the age of 90 years. Gerry Van Rijt beloved husband of the late Geertruida Van Rijt and dear Father of Anne Marie Ochej (Andy), Rosemary House, and Gerry Jr. (Rita). Cherished Grandfather of Philip (Catherine), Derek (Jennifer), Desiri (Tom), Laura (Adam), Antonia and Great Grandfather of Tyler and Davis. Gerry was predeceased by his eight brothers and sisters. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews

Family and friends may call Thursday, May 4th, 2017 from 10:30-11:20 AM at the MACKAY Funeral Home 416 Dibble St. West Prescott. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church 160 Dibble St. West Prescott following at 11:30 AM. Immediately following the Mass there will be a luncheon with Interment to follow at 1:30 PM in St. Mark Catholic Cemetery Development Drive.
