FINNERTY, KATHLEEN (KAY)

The Heavens will shine brighter for all eternity. On Sunday May 25th, 2014 at the tender age of 93 years at the St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville Kay Finnerty entered into eternal rest. Kay Finnerty was the beloved wife of the late Garnet Basil Johnston and the late John Finnerty. Loving mother of Beverly Kirkland (Eric Place), Gramma Kay will be dearly missed by grandchildren Danny Kirkland (Dana) and Deborah Kirkland-Edson (Mike) as well as great grandchildren Aaron Kirkland (Tabatha), Richard Kirkland (Rezan), Cara Kirkland (Ryan), Marc Charbonneau (Jaimie) and Shayna Edson and by one great great granddaughter Camryn Rogers. Kay was predeceased by Brothers Victor, Lelland, Spencer, Kenneth, Reginald, John, Alton, Sisters Grace Atkinson and June Strader, and son in-law Gordon Kirkland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

It was Kay's request that there be no visitation. A Private Family Service will be held with interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens (2451 County Road 15 Maitland ON).
